Katie
Hello and welcome! I am Katie, the owner and Master Makeup Artist over here at Girl on the Glow. We are so beyond happy to have you! My passion for makeup and skincare started as a child, my responsibility as a makeup artist started in High School as I was the Lead Hair and Makeup Artist for my school’s drama department, my career in cosmetics began in college with the company Bare Minerals, and grew larger when I left the company after a long and empowering run to work as a Freelance Makeup Artist. My freelance career began by assisting some incredibly talented and reputable makeup artists in Northwest Indiana. I still work alongside them from time to time today, but in 2018 I decided to go out on my own. Girl on the Glow was officially born in 2019 and we have not slowed down at all since! I am also a Licensed Esthetician and am OBSESSED with all things skincare and products. I love to assist our clients, especially our upcoming brides, with skincare tips and tricks and I am always available for product and service recommendations. I spend a majority of my time focusing on Girl on the Glow, our team, our clients, and our future, but in my rare downtime, I have a few hobbies! I love to travel and have been to 34 countries to date. Cooking is a passion of mine, as well as interior design, shopping, being with my family and friends, juicing, sipping on Veuve Clicquot and coffee!

Hey there! I am Ashley Wells, the Master Hairstylist for Girl on the Glow. I am so excited you are here! While being a Licensed Cosmetologist for sixteen years, I did the whole “salon thing” for years and years before going into Freelance Hairstyling. I love how styles and techniques are constantly changing and evolving within the hair industry. Ten years ago, I decided to venture into the education of hair. This experience opened up a whole new world for me and I was hooked! I started looking for any type of photo shoots to take part in, just to gain more experience and get my hands on some hair. Once I started styling hair for weddings, I knew this was it. Weddings are magical and each one is so unique. It is a blessing to be in the position to help someone look and feel their best on the biggest day of their life. It is the greatest honor for me! When I am not styling hair, I am living my best life with my amazing and supportive husband and our two little ones in Southwest Michigan. I am a sucker for bike rides along the beach, coffee, travel and everything boho!
Payton {Lead hairstylist}
Hello, I am Payton! I have been doing event and Bridal hair for almost 3 years now and I have loved every second of it! I especially enjoy the creativity that doing special event hair lets me have. It is a major honor to play a small part in making my clients feel more beautiful! I am always looking to learn new styles and techniques, especially from our Lead Hairstylist Ashley. Wedding and event hair is my speciality and main career, but I do see clients for haircuts and color part time during the week as well in a salon in Granger, IN. When not working with hair and my clients, I am very close with my family, my church, and my community! I met Katie while in Beauty College. I was obtaining my Cosmetology License while Katie was obtaining her Esthetics License.
chloe {Lead makeup artist}
I am Chloe! The newest member of Girl on the Glow even though I have known Katie since I was three years old! I have had a deep interest in makeup and skincare for over five years and never dreamt I could make both into a career and not just a hobby. Once the opportunity to make both a career came along, I jumped all over it. I started my college career at Ball State University and went down the path to becoming a Dermatologist, but found myself to be way too extroverted for the traditional classroom. I left college and obtained my Esthetics License instead. I am also a Certified Eyelash Technician. Skincare and skin health is where my passion begins and from there, working with my clients natural beauty to enhance their look using makeup grew into a full blown career. I am very excited to be a part of the getting ready process for our brides and help transform them on their Wedding Day. I am so thankful to be a part of the Girl on the Glow team and to have the opportunity to work with you!!
